"Adult Confirmation" is an opportunity for any adult Catholic who was baptized, received their First Communion/Eucharist, is practicing their faith, but for whatever reason did not have the opportunity to complete their full initiation into the life of faith and the Church and never celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation.
What is Confirmation? The Sacrament of Confirmation completes the process of Christian initiation. Without it, a baptized Christian remains, in a sense, at the level of a spiritual child. You can think of Confirmation analogously as the period of puberty in the natural order. Through this sacrament, a baptized Christian receives the strengthening of the Holy Spirit to mature into spiritual adulthood, resist temptations to sin, and courageously spread the Gospel of Jesus.
Like many of the parishes throughout the Diocese, St Anne offers an opportunity to complete that initiation into the faith with our Adult Confirmation program.
Please contact Deacon Terry Sullivan at 603-329-5886 Ext. 101 or [email protected] for more information regarding the program, time schedule and how you too can complete that journey.
