This year has been incredibly hard for everyone, including our own Saint Anne Music Ministry that was prevented from sharing their gift of song with the community at Eucharist due to Covid.

With the leadership of our previous Music Director, Cindi Verrill-Moscato, the talent of our sound engineer, Evan Cuneo and voices of the members of our choir, they creatively worked a way to produce this choral gift for you.

The songs are their gift to you for Christmas, available for download below.
 

We knew early on that we would not be having a Christmas Choir this year due to COVID.  As a music ministry,  we devised a way to safely record our singers, one at a time.  In the weeks before Thanksgiving, the singers spent hours in their homes learning and perfecting the music for this project.

On the Friday after Thanksgiving, Cindi and Evan arranged for and scheduled each of the choir members a 20-minute private time slot, in the church, to record their tracks while listening with headphones to a pre-recorded piano accompaniment. In the weeks following those recording sessions, their invididual tracks were combined, trimmed and arranged with all the other tracks to create the choral versions of the songs that now comprise the "O Holy Night" playlist. Nancy DeFilippo, Sheila Cuneo and Fr Marc then set to work on the tasks of obtaining copyrights and other details for a project of this magnitude.

After hours of work, this team effort has resulted in this Christmas Gift to you.  We hope the music of the St Anne Music Ministry will help you celebrate this Christmas season and beyond. From everyone in the Music Ministry, Merry Christmas.
