Summer Festival - How Do I Help?
We always need lots of help on the day of the Summerfest, most especially staffing the game booths. We'll have opportunities to sign up after the Masses in July, but please contact Fran Rosenau at fsrosenau@mygsc.com or (603) 887-5131 if you'd like to be put on our volunteer list now. She'll then contact you again in July to finalize plans for your volunteer slot. Thank you!
For the Lakes Race, we are always happy to encourage people to line the race route, cheering on the runners. If you're unfamiliar with the route, you can come to the finish line at Town Hall, or have a presence on Main Street (Rt. 121) on the hill near Shop Pond or anywhere leading up to the finish line.
If you'd like to be part of the planning committee, we're always happy to welcome new committee members! It's a good group of people, and we have a good time. Give it a try! It's fun to get involved, and there's less work for everyone if we have more people helping out! Although we meet about once a month from Feb/March - July, attendance at the meetings is not mandatory. We're happy with whatever time you can give us!
We ALWAYS need more helpers for the Summerfest, whether it's helping beforehand (posting flyers, selling tickets, staffing the tables outside of each Mass in July, or setting up) or on the day of the festival/auction (road race, traffic control, information/ticket table, kids' games, family games, bounce tent, zoo, teen booth, bake table, trash detail, breakdown of tents, setting up the auction). If you're a teen, you'll earn service hours . . . but no matter who you are, you'll have fun and feel good about helping!
