Saint Anne Parish Community

Approximately 40 years ago, St. Anne’s Parish began as a Mission of Holy Angels Parish in Plaistow, to serve a small community of Catholics in the towns of Hampstead, Sandown and Danville.  In 1966, Msgr. Richard O. Bonner directed the construction of St. Anne Mission Church.

Bishop Odore J. Gendron declared that as of noon on June 18, 1979, St. Anne was established as a Parish in its own right.  Father Paul Daneault was appointed Pastor.  In June of 1982, Father Florent R. Bilodeau was appointed Pastor and remained as Spiritual head of St. Anne Parish until July of 1998.  At that time Father Frederick J. Pennett was appointed to Pastor.  Father Pennett was replace in June of 2010 by Father Steven G. Montesanti, who remains as St. Anne’s pastoral leader today.

Today, Saint Anne Parish has grown and is now serving over 2,400 families in the thriving Catholic communities of Hampstead, Sandown, Danville, Atkinson and many others.
