The Eucharist

"I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer..." (Luke 22:15)

The Eucharist is the heart of the Christian life.  The memorial of the sacrificial death of the Lord Jesus is nothing less than the Infinite Merciful Love of Almighty God pouring itself out endlessly in and through Christ.  This saving meal is like no other.  We receive Jesus Christ in His totality.  The Body/Blood/Soul/Divinity of the Exalted and Glorified Son of the Father.  Wow!  No wonder Jesus "earnestly desires" to share the power of the Paschal Mystery with each and every one of us in this manner!  Together, let us continue to beg the Lord Jesus to fill us with a growing hunger and thirst for HIM who becomes real food and real drink for us!  Amen.
